Jackson's career as a composer began at age 21 in New York City. He is the lead singer of the hugely successful band High Highs. The band was picked up by Elton John’s management company and record label, toured extensively, featured in numerous films and currently has 65 million hits on Spotify.

Jackson’s partnership with Sonar Music continues to move from strength to strength, writing the award winning scores for TV Series Bloom Series 1 and 2 (AGSC Award Best Music for a TV Series), SBS’ Erotic Stories, BUMP Series 2, 3 and 4, Amazing Grace, the much loved documentary series Books That Made Us, and the highly acclaimed TV series Upright Series 1 and 2 in collaboration with Tim Minchin. Jackson’s feature documentary scores include Netflix’s Machine, The Desert Said Dance, true crime documentary Speedway and the brilliant documentary Hot Potato: The Story Of The Wiggles for Amazon Prime.

Jackson is also an eclectic multi-instrumentalist; lending his award winning scores to a huge range of clients globally. Recent awards include;

Jackson also has worked in collaboration with acclaimed Australian artists Leila Jefferys and Melvin Montalban across two stunning large-scale audiovisual installations at Sydney’s VIVID Festival, ’Temple' in 2022 and ‘Nest’ in 2024. His stunning orchestral compositions inspired by the textures and sounds of Native Australian birdlife, also now feature as an installation in the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia. 

Jackson has just finished scoring the highly anticipated feature film The Way, My Way which is currently in cinemas nationwide, and is currently composing for the upcoming series Return To Paradise in collaboration with Sonar Composer Antony Partos.
